Voting ‘yes’ keeps the penny working for you. By renewing the local option sales tax that’s already in place, you’ll keep funding critical local projects.

Your Neighborhood, Funded

The parks, sidewalks and public spaces that make Escambia County a great place are funded right here, and every project is publicly accountable.

The Penny = a Safer Community

The penny supports fire stations, emergency equipment and law enforcement tools that keep Escambia County residents and families safe.

A Local Investment Chosen by You

The Local Option Sales Tax is a one-cent tax approved by Escambia County voters that funds local projects—from roads and drainage to parks and public safety. It can only be used for specific, community-approved projects and must be renewed by local voters every ten years.

Escambia County voters have approved the penny every time it’s come up for renewal over the past 34 years because they can see where the money goes. And it’s done more than build roads. Sustained voter support has allowed the County to make needed improvements while offsetting significant increases to property taxes.
